On Monday, Bitcoin mining machine maker Canaan announced the launch of the company’s latest high-performance Bitcoin mining machine, the A13 series. The A13s is more powerful than the A12 series, offering between 90 and 100 TH/s of hash power depending on the unit. Canaan’s CEO said the new A13 is a milestone in the company’s research into high computing power.

“The launch of our new generation of Bitcoin miners is a key R&D milestone as we take our quest for higher computing power, better energy efficiency, superior user experience and optimal cost-effectiveness to a whole new level ,” Zhang, chairman and chief executive of Canaan, said in a statement on Monday.

Canaan is about to launch 2 miner models of the A13 series

The two models in the A13 series announced by Canaan on October 24, the Avalon A1366 and Avalon A1346, feature “improved power efficiency over their predecessors” and the new models are estimated to generate 110 to 130 terahashes per second ( TH/s). The latest models include a dedicated power supply. The company has also incorporated a new auto-scaling algorithm in the latest model, which helps deliver the best hash rate with minimal power consumption.

Canaan’s A1346 model produces an estimated power of 110 TH/s, with a single machine consuming 3300 W from the wall. According to the statistics of Canaan Yunzhi, the overall energy efficiency level of the A1346 mining machine is about 30 J/TH.

Canaan’s CEO detailed that the company “worked around the clock throughout the supply chain to prepare for future purchase orders and new product deliveries to customers around the world.”

While new Canaan devices are available for purchase on Canaan’s website, no price is provided for each machine for the new Avalon models. Interested buyers need to fill out the “Cooperation Inquiry” form to inquire about purchasing new A13s.
